Emotion!
The emotions are the basic nature
of every living being. Yes, you heard me right! They are not only in human
beings. We can simply define emotion as energy in motion. Emotions are the one
which decide the direction of our life and also the speed at which we travel
considering life as a journey towards our goals. We can even say they are the
fuel for running our lives.
Animals
do not have the control over their emotions much as humans can do. We have the
greatest ability to control or channelize our emotions as well. If we’re able
to master our emotions then only we can achieve something bigger in our life.
So now the next question arises, how to master/control emotions?
We
have to understand completely about the emotions if we want to master
them.
Make
a review every day before going to sleep at night. Just walk through your
entire day whatever happened. The emotions arose in you on that particular day.
Identify the minute details as well like whether the emotions got kindled
because of some situation, person or place or while doing something. Check
whether it was a positive emotion or a negative emotion.
Love,
happiness, excitement, ecstasy bliss and so on are positive ones. Anger,
frustration, sadness, disappointment, jealousy, hatred and so on are all negative
emotions.
Once
we identify the causative factors of negative emotions we have to eliminate
those causes from the next day. In the same manner we can try to include more
stuffs that caused positive emotions in us.
But
it does not mean that we do not have to challenge ourselves. Just ensure you
train your mind so that not to react much too each and every situation as this
might lead to waste of precious energy through emotions. If you do like this
every day in small increments eventually one day you would have come to that
state in which no external situation can control your emotions.
For
example if you see a baby in the neighbourhood and tears of happiness flows
that’s fine. But when you see a neighbour going in a brand new car if feeling
of jealousy arises then definitely you have to work on changing that to avoid
loss of energy through emotions.
There
are various ways to deal with emotions. You can do it by just being little more
aware. That would be the best method to master/control/channelize your emotions.
Whenever you feel that emotions are going out of control, taking regular deep
breaths would definitely help.
Doing
meditation daily after waking up for few minutes also would help. Being
physically active also increases the chance that you control your emotions in a
better way. After all healthy body is the basic necessity for a healthy mind!
Emotions
are the precious gifts by God to us. If we channelize our emotions in a better
way there is a high chance that we would be able to figure out the purpose of
life and live a blissful, peaceful and beautiful life!
